Free Agents and first-time Stonewallers, we’d like to invite you to two events on the weekend of July 22nd. We’d love for you to attend both events but if one seems more up your alley than the other that’s totally fine too. And if you can’t make either, please let us know and we’ll work with you to get you on the best team for you.

Saturday 7/22 - Pizza and Mingling
This event is exclusively for Stonewall Boston’s Free Agents and Team Captains. The goal of this event is for new players to meet a variety of teams to figure out where they think they best fit (don’t fret if you can’t make these events, you will be placed on a team regardless).
- Where: Dbar Back Patio
- When: Saturday, July 22nd, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
The DBar patio will remain open after 5, but will become open to the public.
In Stonewall Boston teams are split into 3 divisions. Stonewall Boston has teams in each division that are looking for additional players, so our goal is to get you into the correct division for you and to match you with a team you will vibe with!
A Division
Players in this division are focused on the game and are playing to win. The majority of players on an A Division team should have a good understanding of kickball rules. All players are expected to have a basic knowledge of base/diamond sport rules (baseball/softball/kickball).
B Division
The Goldilocks child of Stonewall Boston - players will be focused on the game but easily walk away from games they lose without harping on it. Captains in the B division should have a good understanding of the rules but it’s expected that some players on the team may still be learning.
C Division
This is our most casual division. The game here is all about fun.Teammates are ready to laugh off a play that goes awry and teams aren’t too concerned with winning or losing.Captains should understand the basics of the rules and be prepared to teach their players how to play.
Sunday 7/23 - Kickball Games!
On Sunday we’ll be hosting remix (all players show up and get assigned to a random team) games. This is a great opportunity to play the game for the first time (or the first time since middle school). We’ll have knowledgeable folks around to help teach you the rules or teach you some tips.
Learn the rules, make some friends, have some fun, and maybe find a team that you work well with Please bring/wear: cleats if you have them, athletic clothing, a water bottle (water fountains are on site), and sunscreen.
- Where: Ronan Park, Dorchester MA
- When: Sunday, July 23rd, 12:15 PM - 2:45 PM
Game 1: 12:30 - 1:20
Game 2: 1:30-2:20
Kickball 101
If you’re excited to get to know the rules now try watching one of these:
Thanks to our siblings in Stonewall Cleveland and Stonewall Philly for making these! We do have slight variations on these rules in Boston but the overall gist is there! If you’d like to read our full rule book you can find that on our website (I’d suggest skipping down to section 5 to start if you’re new, your captain will handle sections 1 through 4).
